Did you know that diving is the number one recreational activity in Okinawa? This island is one of the world’s premiere scuba diving locations. If you’re visiting or living in Okinawa, it’s a no-brainer, you have to get your dive license and experience the beautiful coral reefs and ocean wildlife first hand!
And there’s no better family activity than exciting dive experience together. Unfortunately according to the rules of Padi International, kids must be over the age of 10 years old to become licensed divers. But the good news is that doesn’t have to stop you from taking part in this amazing experience with your younger children.
Thanks to Padi’s “Bubble Maker” Program, younger kids can get an early jump on their scuba diving career. If your child is at least 8 years old, they can safely dive with a Padi Professional in waters up to 2 meters and experience real scuba diving for the first time!
This is a great time, and if you’re in Okinawa you’re on the right island, to foster a love for the ocean and scuba diving. With the bubble maker program kids can dive with a professional, learn about and use real scuba equipment, and take their first breaths under water.
Below we are including some locations and contact information for several places in Okinawa that you can enroll your child in the Bubble Maker.
If your child is interested in scuba diving, you’ve come to the right island. Sign up for your Bubble Maker today and live that OKILIFE!
